Sara Gallagher is a ceramic artist who is informed by places and organisms that are not easily categorized as either wild or human. She draws attention to the ways these categories overlap and contradict each other to suggest alternative ways of living.

Gallagher has exhibited Maake Projects, Bridge Productions, and Hoffman Gallery of Contemporary Art, among others. She has been artist in residence at the Lana’i Art Center, Whiskeyjack Pottery, and Adamah Art Studio. She has also worked as a studio assistant at Penland School of Craft and Lewis & Clark College.

Gallagher holds a BA in Studio Art and a BA in Philosophy from Lewis & Clark College. She is currently director of Hope Gallery in Hope, Idaho.
